Based on the information you’ve shared and the little I know about you and your situation, the “#1 Calm-Space Mistake” that’s holding you back from your goal, is what I call “Frame”.
Here’s What That Means...
What that means is when it comes to creating a calm sanctuary you may often find yourself stuck in a painful place where you feel like you don’t have enough decoration knowledge on how to build a calm space.
I call it the “Frame” Mistake, because very often I have customers who really struggle on how to find a frame for the painting, and at the end of the day, the best solution is the simplest one: a white wooden frame. It goes with everything.
You might not realize that it is not require to have home design skills to create a calm space.
Common “Frame” Mistakes & Pitfalls
One of the big mistakes people can make when experiencing the “Frame” effect is to think that they don’t know enough about home design to create a calm sanctuary in their home by themselves.
You are focussing on what should block you getting a calm space and calm moments in your day, instead of on the most important. A calm space for you is a calm space that needs to speak to you, a surrounding that is calming to you, not to the editor of Home Country Magazine. Have you ever watched a Home Decor TV show and at the end of the episode, making a face seeing what they did to the room or house? I do it all the time.
If the chair in your space don’t match the blanket or the side table, it’s not the priority. The priority is that the space needs to be you and full of the things you love and make you feel serene.
Here’s What You Can Do About It
Thankfully there are some practical and achievable steps you can take to create your own calm space. I made a checklist that you can find in the next page.
Each of these steps won’t take you more than 5 min. You start slowly with what you have already in your home. Start with what you have and grow from there.
Every day, check one of these steps.
Your Next Steps
Now you might need some more details and clarity about these steps.
Well, this is what I do all day, every day… I help people of all ages and situations to create their own calm space in their home, whether your mistake is:
-
‘Acrylic’ mistake: when people focus on the lack of time, instead of taking action,
-
‘Palette’: when people has built up a mount of clutter in their home, that they have no space for calmness,
-
‘Brush’: when people is surrounded by a noisy household and cannot find calm
-
Varnish: when people believe that you get not allow yourself for calm moment because you need to care for your household.
-
Frame: when people focus on your supposed lack of art decoration knowledge
